The Doctor Who Serial & DW Audios Serial: The History

Almost everyone in countries such as the United Kingdom, USA, Canada, New Zeeland, Australia and so on should have at least heard of the world famous Sci-Fi serial DW from the BBC! Now that Doctor Who is back on television since 05 after it’s 15yr absence the series has gotten very popular again, so mush so in fact that even the Science fiction channel has taken an interest in the show.

DW all started in November 1963 when it’s 1st episode aired on television taking the Dr. & his friends back into the past where they aided some cavemen to use fire for the first time. Taking into account the totally new serial Doctor Who is currently the longest running Science fiction show of all time!

During the 70s the BBC expanded DW into the audio median creating the first Doctor Who Audio. The 1st releases were for the most part soundtracks from the episodes with binding narration by the Drs. However because of their popularity soon after stories were made for Audio Book release solely, often narrated by past Drs of the TV series.

Also the Dr. Who Audiobook family was extended with the release of Audiobooks from stories that had solely appeared on the radio. Also a lot of of the lost stories have been re done by their original Drs in the Audio format making them once more available to the general public once more. There exist Audiobooks from the very 1st serial all the way up to the most recent series with David Tennent and even Sarah Jane and Doctor Who Torchwood Audio.

One of the really good things about Doctor Who Audio Books is that they provide us the freedom to listen to our favorite stories anywhere we want with the use of the modern mp3 player. Audios help us to obtain more out of our increasingly busier days, as it is so easy for as to listen to them while doing other things like working out, house work, driving, and and additional chores that allow us to multitask. Another great factor about audio titles is that they are in many cases narrated by their original actors, which really adds to the whole experience. Mothers and fathers also buy them for kids entertainment in cars etcetera.

The way things stand right now it looks like Dr. Who and its spin-off serial torchwood and the Sarah Jane adventures are doing extremely well so things look good for us to be able to be entertained by them for a number of years to come.
